An excerpt from the Aldershot News in 1940:
"By the death on Friday at her home in Jubillee Rd Mytchett of Mrs Clara Boraman, Aldershot has lost a link with the early days of the camp. She was the wife of Charles John Boraman and the family has been connected with the district since 1850. Mrs Boraman was 67 years of age and with her husband has 41 descendants and all her twelve sons and daughters were present with her husband and other relatives at the funeral which took place on Tuesday at Ash cemetery, the Rev H. C. Aubin officiating. By deceased's request there was no mourning."
After Clara's death, Charles John was identified as a 'tenant for life' of the land and houses owned by Clara. On Charles' death in 1949, the sale proceeds were distributed amongst the children. The estate consisted of a house 'Belle Vue', a house 'Victoria Cottage' and land in Fir Acre road.
